Ho Xanh
Ho Xanh’s real name was Nguyen Van Nheo (1901-1942) or also called Nguyen Thuong Cat. He was a journalist, a writer and also a teacher so people called him teacher Cat; and he wrote under the name Green Lake. He was born in Me Trang village, Liem Chinh ward, thanh Liem District, Ha Nam province.
During the time teaching at Phu Ly town Green Lake had contributed a lot to the legal activities of the Communist Party Organization at Ha Nam province during the period 1936-1939.
Beside teaching, Green Lake also translated books (he translated capitialism of K. Marx), worte for Hanoi Press, joined in different debates about idealism and materialism, art for art’s sake and art for Human’s sake on Contemporary Press.
